Read the passage and answer the questions: NEW YEAR IN AUSTRALIA Many Australian celebrate New Year’s Eve on 31 December each year. It is the day before New Year’s Day, the 1st January. New Year’s Eve is not a public holiday in Australia but schools and colleges are closed because it is a holiday period.
