I think Music and Arts can't be compulsory subjects at school cuz if you don't have natural talent, you did it not good and the results are bad. Ifyou're not interested in those subjects, you won't do it well so you will get bad marks. If your dream job are not these job, you cannot do it well and you have to spend all the day practice it, it's really hard to do it if you don't have talent, you don't interested in, and also it is not your dream job and you don't have any motivation because your parents are always tell you that you must focus on studying Maths, Literature and English as well.
So that the reasons I think Music and Arts can't be compulsory subjects at school. If you like them you can go to the after-school classes or extra class to learn more about what you interested in.
