Công thức So sánh hơn & so sánh nhất :
A. So sánh hơn :
Short : S + V + adj/adv + er + than + N/pronoun .
· Tính từ có một âm tiết hoặc hai âm tiết có những chữ cái ở cuối cùng của âm tiết thứ hai có kết thúc là : y , le , ow , er , et , av , ... được cho là tính từ ngắn .
Long : S + V + more + adj/adv + than + N/pronoun .
· Những tính từ có từ hai đến ba âm tiết trở lên được gọi là tính từ dài .
B. So sánh nhất :
Short : S + V + the + adj/adv + est + N/pronoun .
Long : S + V + the most + adj/adv + N/pronoun .
* Một số trường hợp của tính từ ngắn :
Thêm er/est :
· Tính từ kết thức bởi 1 phụ âm hoặc e :
Tính từ : Tall , Large .
· Đổi qua So sánh hơn là : Taller , Large .
· Đổi qua So sánh hơn là : The tallest , the Largest .
· Tính từ kết thúc với 1 nguyên amm + 1 phụ âm :
Tính từ : Big , Sad .
· Đổi qua So sánh hơn là : Bigger , Sadder .
· Đổi qua So sánh hơn là : The biggest , the Largest .
· Tính từ kết thúc bởi " y " :
Tính từ : Happy , Tipy
· Đổi qua So sánh hơn là : Happier , Tidier .
· Đổi qua So sánh hơn là : The happiest , the saddest .
Với một số tính từ , trạng từ dạng so sánh của chúng khác với các tính từ , trạng từ :
Tính từ , Trạng từ : Good ( Well ) , Bad , Badly , Far , Much / many , Litter , Old .
· Đổi qua So sánh hơn là : Better , Worse , Farther / further , More , Less , Older / elder .
· Đổi qua So sánh hơn là : The best , the worst , the fathest / the furthest , the most , the least , the oldest / the eldest .
C. Bảng đại từ nhân xưng :
· Làm chủ từ trong câu : I , you , we , they , he , she , it .
· Làm túc từ trong câu : Me , you , us , them , him , her , it .
· Tính từ sở hữu : My , your , our , their , his , her , it .
· Đại từ sở hữa : Mine , yours , our , theirs , his , hers , its .
· Đại từ phản thân : Myself , yourself / yourselves , ourselves , themselves , himself , herself , itself .
