Encyclopædia Britannica or Britannica Encyclopedia is a comprehensive English encyclopedia available in the series, on DVD, and on the Internet, by the company Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc. compile and publish. The company employs about 100 editors and receives articles from more than 4,000 professionals to continuously update and develop the encyclopedia. This work is considered by many to be one of the most authoritative encyclopedias. However, a study sparked by Nature in 2005 comparing the scientific papers of Britannica and Wikipedia (including the web version Britannica) found that the error rate of Wikipedia is 3 , 86 errors per article, while Britannica's is 2.92 errors per article
