It is always a big culture shock when you go to a new country with different culture. In order to prepare and plan your Vietnam trip better, there are some advice on the local Culture so that you can make your trip as an unforgetable experience. Firstly, when you pay a visit to someone’s home, call first and arrive on time. Vietnamese usually want to get you try some of their authentic food or drink which you might not want to try, don’t worry in this situation, refuse politely and smile because this is a common thing among Vietnamese. Remember to bargain when buying souvenirs or foods or something else on the street, you should have a Vietnamese guide you about this. Besides, if you go to pagodas, temples or worship places, don’t wear shorts, skirts, this may be rude to people there. If you are offered a gift, don’t open it in front of the giver, open it later at home. And finally, I know western people usually kiss each other when they meet, but don’t do this in Viet Nam, they will feel embarrassed and unfriendly.
