Elementary students train in physical and collective spirit through a series of activities in the "undokai" festival.
Sports festival or undokai is an important event of the year at Japanese elementary school. Students will spend more than a month of hard practice before coming to a day with lots of activities. This is not just a children's day but also a day for parents who get up early to prepare a nutritious lunch box, motivate them and go to school to cheer their children on. Although it sounds very competitive, the main purpose of the festival is to encourage students to do the best they can together. No individual awards were awarded and the program even went on to encourage each other
The biggest sports festival at my school is September 2, the day of the Vietnam People's Army. It was also the day to welcome the new principal to school. That day is the most memorable day. That day there were many sports games such as tug of war, sack dancing ... The time took quite long. I am very happy.
