Michael Jordan was born on February, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York. His family moved to Wilmington, North Carolina.
Young Michael’s best sport was baseball. He did not make his high school basketball team when he was at school. Later, he played well enough to be noticed by Coach Dean Smith at the University of North Carolina (UNC). Jordan won scholarship to UNC.
