Dear Mom and Dad,
I have already arrived in Hanoi. Aunt Nga picked me up at Noi Bai Airport yesterday. Now I am staying with her family. Her family members are very nice and friendly, which makes me feel very welcomed and comfortable.
This week, I and cousin Lien are going to take part in the Scientific Research Conference in the National Assembly Hall on Wednesday and Thursday. Then we will go to see some famous beauty spots in Hanoi such as the Literature Temple and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. I will take as many photos of the place as possible.
Up to now, I have been impressed by the local people and the cuisine. The residents here are very hospitable and close to each other. Vietnam’s traditional food is really amazing, especially Pho. I bought some souvenirs and postcards as gifts.
I am really enjoying the time here. I think our family can spend our next holiday there. I will come back on Sunday. Will you pick me up at 9am at the airport?
