Water pollution is a hot topic in Vietnam. According to unofficial statistics, up to 9,000 people die and find 100,000 people are infected with cancer each year due to the use of polluted water. Although all levels and departments have made efforts to call for and implement measures to protect the environment, protect water sources, ... but not enough to improve the serious water pollution situation as at present. .
By the end of 2018, according to the survey results: Every year Vietnam consumes more than 100,000 tons of plant protection chemicals and more than 23 million tons of household waste, more than 7 million tons of industrial solids and up to 630,000 tons of waste. hazardous to the environment. It is estimated that out of a total of 183 industrial parks, up to 60% of units do not have a centralized wastewater treatment system. In large urban areas, only about 60% of solid waste is collected but the infrastructure for drainage and waste water treatment does not meet the demand for environmental protection.
Meanwhile, all wastes are cleaning chemicals, dye chemicals, grease, etc., which have not been treated, and are discharged into natural rivers and lakes, seriously affecting people's lives. Therefore, environmental pollution has been a research issue of interest in universities in order to find effective remedies, improve the environment, and bring a healthy life to the people.
