Alexander Graham Bell (March 3, 1847 - August 2, 1922) was a Scottish-American inventor, scientist, and engineer, best known for inventing the first practical telephone in 1876. , founded the Bell Telephone Company in 1877, and Thomas improved Edison's phonograph in 1886.
