Tet Holiday is considered the most important holiday in Vietnam . It is often held at the end of January and lasts for 3 days . Tet holiday is the moment that every family can gather together , eat dinner together and especially they can together visit relatives and give lucky money to children . On Tet holiday , Vietnamese people often buy peach blossom trees or yellow apricot trees to decorate their house . These trees make people remember the atmosphere of Tet . Moreover , they make many dishes that related to Tet such as : Chung cake , soup , dried candied fruit,braised pork ,etc . Children hope Tet will come soon , so that they can receive lucky money from parents , relatives . The lucky money with red envelope will symbol for a year with luckiness .
