Every country in the world has a traditional costume, and Vietnam people are proud to own the Ao Dai. The Ao Dai has two main parts: the pants and the tunic. The tunic with long sleeves covers the whole body, except the head, hands, and feet and the loose pants with a high waist, are held by an elastic belt sewn at the top. Ao Dai is worn by man and woman on some formal occasions like a wedding or a graduation ceremony. The closure is done discreetly on the side by small buttons. The slit of the tunic generally rises a few two or three centimeters higher than the pants. It has exposed both the bold cultures of humanity and the melting pot of Oriental (Vietnamese – Chinese) and the West (French). The most common color of Ao Dai for women is white. In other cases, it has many patterns and is made of different kinds of fabric, and all are flexible, light, and airy.
