MY FAMILY
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen!
Good morning, teachers and all the students!
Today, I’m very happy and proud to join the English Speaking Contest. Firstly, let me introduce myself. My name’s Tam. I’m ten years old. I’m in class 5A1 at Ninh Xa Primary School. I like playing football. I like English very much. In the future I want to be an English Teacher.
Ladies and gentlemen, teachers and friends!
If you ask me: “What is the most important thing in your life?” of course, my answer is: “My family”. I was born in a family that is full of joys and happiness. We live in a comfortable house in the Bac Ninh City.
My family has four people: my parents, my sister and me. The first member I would like to introduce is my father. He is 46 years old. He is a teacher at a big university. He’s very busy at work but whenever having free time, he tries to share the housework with my mother and spends as much time with us as possible. At weekend, he usually cooks meal for us. He teaches us things to do or not to do in the life.
The second member in my family is my mother. Her name is Chuyen. She’s 43 years old. She is an engineer at a factory. She’s beautiful, gentle and kind. She’s always the first person to get up early in the morning to wake me and my sister up. She prepares breakfast for us. She also teaches us many interesting things. Sometimes she goes to the center to help the old and the poor when they need.
My sister’s name is Ha. She’s 17 years old. She looks cute and lovely. She enjoys watching cartoons and singing. On the weekends my sister and I often watch together.
The last member is me. I like playing badminton, chatting, watching or reading comic books. At school I learn many subjects but the subject I like most is English because I want to be an English teacher in the future. I often help my sister do the housework. I will try my best to study better to make my parents be proud of me.
After a hard-working and studying day, my family get together in the living room to play or talk about our day. Sometimes on Sundays my parents take us to the supermarket, to the restaurant or to the shop.
We are a happy family. I love my family very much. I hope everyone has a family like mine.
Thanks for your listening.
