Last night when I was going out to meet my friends, I saw a young boy standing alone at the corner. He was crying. I came and asked him what had happened although I was in a hurry. "I was made to stand here by my parents. I didn't do my homework". Although I was surprised, I tried to calm the child down. "Just let your homework be done next time, you won't be punished in this way". The boy stopped crying and looked at me. Although he was still a little bit sad, he smiled and thanked me for standing there with him. We stood there for a while although it was rather cold. After a while, his parents came and took him home. Although I ran as quickly as possible, I was late for the appointment with my friends. Luckily, they hadn't arrived yet.
