Dear Thuong,
I'm glad that you asked about my hometown in your lastest letter. I was born in Hanoi - one of the busiest cities in Vietnam. But the old Hanoi in my memory was quiet, peaceful and clear. My childhood was wrapped in a small hamlet full of the laughter of the children. But now, Hanoi seems to be smaller and more crowded. There are fewer and fewer trees than before and the air is polluted. The big advantage Hanoi brings to me is that it is full of convenient. We mostly can find anything we need here in street markets, in stores, and in supermarkets, and never are we worried about what to entertain. Although Hanoi still has a lot of problems with its residents, I love it for it saves my childhood memories.
I wish you would visit me and we would talk about it more. I'm looking forward to receiving your reply.
Love,
Nga.
