When talking about Vietnamese countrysides, people often think about vast rice fields, cattles chilling and grazing, or farmers working hard to take rice home. It's a beautiful view of the suburbs, but like hometowns of many, my countryside hometown is slowing modernizing into more of a suburban town. Roads are being made, more vehicles are running throughout the town, and people are starting to switch to more industrial jobs like mechanics, retailers, etc. Even though the image of a peaceful hometown will always be there in my mind, I'm happy to see my hometown is growing rather rapidly. People seem to be happier and more talkative as well. I really miss my hometown and can't wait to visit it again!
