He was always interested in music and he played in a pop group at school and Art College. He got married to Cynthia in 1962 and they had a son whose name was Julian. In 1960, he co-founded "the Beatle" and also co-wrote many beautiful songs including "imagine", "let it be", "all you need is love"... John Lennon and The Beatle became famous all around the world quickly. In 1987, he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. In 2002, a BBC poll on the 100 Greatest Briton voted him eighth. John was considered the most talented member of the Beatle. Thus the whole world was shocked when he was murdered by one of his fans outside his New York apartment at the age of 40.
