Mitsuha is a high school girl living in a remote countryside. One day, she dreams of herself in Tokyo in an unfamiliar room, turning into a boy, meeting friends she has never known.
Meanwhile in another place, Taki, a Tokyo high school boy, dreams of transforming into a girl, living in the backcountry.
In the end the two of them realized they were being swapped through dreams. Ever since those two strangers met, the wheel of fate began to move.
This is a novel version of the animated film Your Name., Written by director Shinkai Makoto himself.
