Dear .....
Many thanks for your letter. I’m glad to hear that you’re interested in
tourist atractions in Vietnam. I’m writing to tell you about One Pillar
Pagoda which is a famous temple in my country.
The One Pillar Pagoda (or Dien Huu Pagoda) is a historic Buddhist
temple in Hanoi capital city of Vietnam. It is located in One Pillar
Pagoda Street, near to Ho Chi Minh President Mausoleum, Ba Dinh
District. It is also one of the two most iconic temples in Vietnam
alongside Huong Pagoda. The temple was built in the first half of 11th
century by Emperor Ly Thai Tong. One Pillar Pagoda has a unique
structure: a square wooden floor put on a stone pillar in the middle of
the pond. Therefore, the pagoda looks like a lotus upright from the
water. Over the years, the One Pillar Pagoda has been rebuilt many
times through the dynasties of the Tran, Le and Nguyen. Today, One
Pillar Pagoda is only one part of the ancient Dien Huu pagoda. One
Pillar Pagoda is one of the oldest cultural heritages, a symbol of Hanoi
dating back to the Ly dynasty. Thanks to the unique architecture, the
pagoda becomes a very attractive tourist destination for tourists to
visit Ha Noi every year.
I hope this information is useful to help you know more about tourist
atractions in Vietnam. Let me know if you need anything else.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Love,
