On the desk, I put two stacks of books, a piggy bank, and a small vase of flowers. The lamp is placed close to the wall, occupying the center position on the table.
The green plastic lampshade is attached to the lamp base by a purple plastic rod that bends like a flower. Black plastic lamp base, with switch and knob to adjust the brightness of the lamp when in use. My father only let me light a 25-watt light bulb. Dad said the lights were too bright to hurt the eyes.
Every night, my parents also prescribed that I would go to bed from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and would not let me stay up late reading books and watching TV continuously. That routine has now become a good habit.
