Nếu thức ăn được xếp trên bàn, thì việc sắp xếp cũng được thực hiện như vậy. Các món ăn được dùng chung cho mọi người. Thông thường, sẽ có một bét/đĩa lớn để mỗi món ăn, và mọi người sẽ dùng đũa và thìa để lấy phần của mình. Nhìn chung, đồ ăn Việt được xem là lành mạnh và phổ biến ở các quốc gia khác.
