1. Thì hiện tại đơn (simple present tense)

Động từ tobe :

+) S + am/is/are + O

-) S + am not/isn't/aren't + O

?) Am/Is/Are + S + O?

Động từ thường :

+) S + Vs/es + O

-) S + don't/doesn't + Vbare + O

?) Do/Does + S + Vbare + O?

2. Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn (present continuous tense)

+) S + am/is/are + V-ing + O

-) S + am not/isn't/aren't + V-ing + O

?) Am/Is/Are + S + V-ing + O?

3. Thì hiện tại hoàn thành (present perfect tense)

+) S + have/has + VppII + ║ for + khoảng thời gian

                                           ║ since + mốc thời gian

-) S + haven't/hasn't + VppII + ║ for + khoảng thời gian

                                                  ║ since + mốc thời gian

4. Thì quá khứ đơn (past simple tense)

5. Thì quá khứ tiếp diễn (past continuous tense)

6. Thì tương lai đơn (future simple tense)

+) S + will/shall + Vbare + O

-) S + won't/shan't + Vbare + O

7. Thì tương lai gần (near future tense)

+) S + be + going to + V-inf + O

-) S + be + not + going to + V-inf + O

II - Danh động từ (Gerund) :

- Làm chủ ngữ

- Sau giới từ : at, in, on, up from, about, off, of, with, without, for, upon,... + V-ing

- Sau một số động từ : Verb + V-ing : admit, advise, enjoy, dislike, understanding, remember, miss, mind, keep, feel like, save, stop, suggest, practice,...

- Sau một số động từ : stop, remember, risk, discover, dislike, mind, waste, spend, catch, find, leave,... + O + V-ing

III - Động từ nguyên thể có to :

- Chỉ mục đích kết quả

- Làm chủ ngữ và tân ngữ

- Sau be + V3 + to V

- Sau adj + to V

- Sau các question words 

- Sau for + O + to V, of + O + to V

- Sau một số động từ : Verb + to V : agree, wait, want, wish, swear, start, seem,...

- Sau Verb + O + to V : advise, allow, cause, ...

IV - Động từ nguyên thể không to :

- Sau do/does/did

- Sau các động từ chỉ giác quan

- Sau let + O + V-inf

- Sau make + O + V-inf

- Sau các động từ khuyết thiếu

- Sau why should we not + V-inf

V - Câu gián tiếp :

- S1 + said (that) + S + Ved/V2

- S + asked + O + question word + S + Ved/V2
