These days, a family in which the father stays at home is easy to be seen. Many men have a tendency to be househusbands and women now go outside for work. This trend is led to by any reasons. In my point of view, this is a positive change in society.
First of all, besides the gender equality in society is becoming more popular, men may stay at home simply because they prefer to do so. It is the 4.0 era, there are no rules that oblige women to be good at housework or cooking and men must be sturdy. In vice versa, it is completely acceptable. Secondly, in some families, dads are unemployed or earning less money than moms. In other cases, they may have health problems or accidents, therefore, it is indisputable that men have to do the house chores and take care of the children. As a result, the responsibility of being the breadwinner belongs to mothers.
As far as I am concerned, this is a positive process. The contribution of the fathers is also as effective as mothers’ since they give more freedom to children to develop their ability in a most comfortable way which can help the children become more confident in social skills, while moms often overprotecting. Furthermore, mothers will have a lot more free time because fathers are the ones who do the housekeeping. Time spent on her children and her hobbies will increase. At the weekend, she can make good dishes for herself and family, or go on a trip with her husband and kids. For this reason, family bonds will be strengthened and children can grow up in a healthy environment. However, negative perspective is still be seen in the poor countries, the fathers are still breadwinners even though they did not do anything.
In conclusion, it can be said that the change in father and mother responsibilities showed a positive tendency in which the same importance is attached to work and personal life.
