A glance at the given line chart reveals gradual increase in the average weekly earnings of women as a percentage of men’s wages in the USA during a period from 1975 to 2005. It is clearly illustrated in the graph that the weekly earning of women aged from 16 to 24 account the most percentage of that of male, which rages from nearly 80% to more than 90%. Ranking at the second, third place are women of three age groups 25 to 34, and 35 to 44 respectively. Especially, in the fourth place, what America women earn in this period only makes up from nearly 60% to a bit higher than 70% of what male earn. In terms of change, the earning trend of women aged from 35 to 44 seems to fluctuate more than the other three, which attain an on-going increase. In general, there still exists significant differences in weekly earnings between male and female in USA, which reflects the inequality in salary between genders.
