=> never đã bao hàm sẵn nghĩa phủ định cần phải nó sẽ tọa lạc dưới một số câu có cấu trúc khẳng định. Never cũng là một trạng ngữ, và nó có tức là not ever hay not at any time (chưa từng).
2. It wasn't until two hours later that the plane finally took off.
=> Not until two hours later did the plane finally take off.
=> It is/ was not until + time word/ phrase/ clause + that + S + V (chia cùng thì với động từ tobe ở đầu câu)
3. I have rarely seen such breath-taking scenery.
=> Rarely have I seen such breath-taking scenery.
4. She was not only well-dressed, but she was also beautiful.
=> Not only was she well-dressed, but she was also beautiful.
=> Not only + động từ tobe + S… but also …
5. I had hardly turned on my laptop when the battery ran out.
=> Hardly had I turned on my laptop when the battery ran out.
=> Hardly + had + S + PII/V-ed + when + S + PI/Ved: vừa mới … thì …
6. We didn't realize we had been robbed until we got home.
=> Not until we got home did we realize we had been robbed.
7. You can only understand your own country when you go abroad.
=> Only when you go abroad can you understand your own country.
=> Only when + S + V (chia) + trợ động từ + S + V (nguyên thể)
