The Mid-Autumn Festival gathering lights for friends last year was so much fun. Mom bought me a butterfly lantern. On the evening of the full moon of August, when I heard the drums and frogs pounding in the alley, I hurriedly took the lantern to join the tiny army, headed to the wide lawn of the village and then gathered in a circle around the yard. After the announcement of the lady in charge, we lined up to go around the neighborhood, led by two dragons. Wherever the lanterns went, the drums sounded, making the whole neighborhood bustling like a big festival. After a light procession, we returned to the lawn to prepare to break the feast. The performance of breaking the feast was equally as fun as the procession of lanterns. We just ate candies, fruits, and performed art. When the moon was high, we left. That day left me with many unforgettable memories.
