→ used to dùng để diễn tả một thói quen/ hành động đã xảy ra trong quá khứ và hiện tại không còn thực hiện nữa.

→ Công thức wish ở hiện tại: S + wish(es) + (that) + S + V-ed

$4.$ I wish I knew where to fly a kite in this crowded city.

NOTE: Ta dùng wish ở HT để thể hiện mong ước một điều gì không có thực ở hiện tại, một giả định trái ngược so với thực tế.

 - Để nói đã thường xuyên/ quen với việc làm gì trong quá khứ mà nay không còn làm nữa:

"USED TO + V-bare"

 - Cấu trúc câu điều ước ở hiện tại: 

S + wish (chia) + S +V-qk...

- Cấu trúc câu điều ước ở tương lai:

S + wish (chia) + S + would/could/might + V-bare

→ (wish) I wish I knew where to fly a kite it in this crowded city
