Tet is an event that all Vietnamese celebrate and Asia, in general, celebrate it as Lunar New Year or Chinese New Year. There was many and many activities happened but out of all, my favourite is still receive money from the elders.
This is an activity that not only me loved it but nearly every children, even adult loved it. This activity is when someone in the high rank than you give out the red envelope, inside is money to say that ‘congratulations, you has stepped into a new age’, that it to children, but to the adult, it means that you done a good job this year, this is your reward. This activity starts at the start of the Lunar New Year, which is the 1st in Chinese calendar.
This year I woke up and got dressed nicely in my Ao Dai, then my parents took me to see my grandparents and relatives. They all give us the red envelope and by the end of the day, I counted all of it to see how much has I received.
Every year, I only wait for this day. To me, this is the day that I feel the best out of 365 days.
