Hoa ly tượng trưng cho sắc đẹp, đức hạnh và sự kiêu hãnh. Hoa ly từ lâu đã được mệnh danh là loài hoa thanh cao và quý phái. Hoa ly có màu trắng, màu đỏ, màu cam, màu hồng và màu vàng. Hoa ly còn có các tên gọi khác như cây hoa bách hợp, hoa loa kèn, hoa lily hay hoa huệ tây. Thân hoa ly dài, xanh thẫm. cánh hoa ly khi nở ra thì hơi dài và cong xuống. khi nở, hoa ly thường lệch sang một bên. Là hoa ly thuôn, dài,mượt mà như một tấm lụa. Em rất thích hoa ly, nhất là hoa ly đỏ vì nó tượng trưng cho một tình bạn vĩnh cửu.”
