Living in urban areas has many benefits, the main point being providing its citizen to lead a interactive and fast-paced lifestyle. However, when any area becomes overcrowded, the negatives outweigh the positives. Firstly, stay in an overpopulated residence means low-quality services. Public facilities such as swimming pools and restaurants will be packed with people and the human force needed to operate these activities for entertainment. Ultimately, overloaded establishments are congruous with major pollution problems. Secondly, overcrowded neighborhoods means extreme disparities between the living standards of the poor and the rich. There are growing evidence that excessive inequality is a negative indication for a community. Societies with pronounced ecnomic inequality are believed to be prone to higher crime rates, poorer public health, increased political inequality, and lower average education levels. This is the basis of chaos and disruption in daily life. Not only is an overcrowded city detrimental to the physical well-being of its people, but it also take a toll on its inhabitants by creating additional frustrations with traffic jams or packed public transportations. With the increased irritation is skyrocketing stress levels, alarming growth of violence and reduction of social support. The consequences of an overcrowded city in its infantry usually bring the living standards down in a spiral, in a vicious cycle of downfall which will never end unless there is governmental involvement.

Living in an overcrowded city has many horrible drawbacks. Firstly, the city dwellers have to suffer from traffic problems such as traffic congestion, accidents,... every day. As the population is growing rapidly, there is a considerable increase in the number of vehicles. Therefore, traffic can be a nightmare in the big city. Secondly, the pollution in an overcrowded city is extremely serious. For instance, the waste from factories, vehicles cause air pollution;  the noise from traffic, construction site cause noise pollution, the domestic waste cause water pollution,..... As a result,  the city's residents have to put up with noise pollution, visual pollution, air pollution, water pollution,.... for a long time, which has a negative influence on their health. Last but not least, The crime rate in an overcrowded city is usually high. Since there is always more crime in a big city,  you are much more likely to be a victim of a crime living in a big city. In conclusion, these factors contribute to making the overcrowded city's life difficult for its residents.
