Truthfully, every time I'm asked about history, I'm always eager to talk about the 1975 Vietnam War, which is one of our significant historical highlights.
Vietnam has been under the colonization of foreign invaders for decades, and this is the last battle before the opening of a new age of peace and liberation for all of us. For some purposes, it is an incredible time of history. Firstly, this is the brave fighting spirit of the people of Vietnam.
Our nation was split into the Northern part and the Southern part. Communication was extremely difficult at a certain time that people were living in poverty and destitute conditions around the world. After all, with the aid and love of ordinary individuals, our warriors always fought very courageously.
Furthermore, this is amazing because not everybody, even some Vietnamese people, believes that we've won the battle.
We never thought that we could possibly beat them as compared with such a well-armed country like America. We get our own prosperity back, though, with the commitment of the entire country. The day we gained independence from the invaders was April 30, 1975, and since then, we have held annual celebrations to pay respect to all those who sacrificed for the republic.
